Ingredients
- 16 large white mushrooms, stems removed
- 1 package (5.2 ounces) Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs Cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
If you prefer a different flavor profile, feel free to substitute the Boursin cheese with another soft, herbed cheese. You can also use cremini mushrooms for a slightly richer taste.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Remove from heat and mix the garlic with the Boursin cheese, Parmesan cheese, and half of the breadcrumbs in a bowl.
- Season the cheese mixture with salt and pepper to taste, keeping in mind that Boursin already has a robust flavor profile.
- Fill each mushroom cap with the cheese mixture, pressing gently to fill the cavity.
- Sprinkle the remaining breadcrumbs over the stuffed mushrooms for a crispy topping.
- Place the mushrooms on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving, if desired.
