Learn how to make delicious Bruschetta Dip. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 large ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 baguette, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for toasting the baguette)

If you want to add some extra zing, consider substituting the balsamic vinegar with a splash of lemon juice. And for a bit of heat, a pinch of red pepper flakes works wonders!

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing your baguette. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch slices and brush each side lightly with butter.
  2. Place the slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 5 minutes, or until golden brown. Set aside to cool.
  3. While the bread is toasting, dice the tomatoes and place them in a medium-sized bowl. Add the chopped basil, minced garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir everything together gently until well combined. If you’re opting for Parmesan cheese, now is the time to mix it in.
  5. Let the mixture sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. This is a trick I learned from my abuela, who always insisted on letting ingredients “get to know each other” before serving.
  6. Serve the tomato mixture alongside the toasted baguette slices, and enjoy every flavorful bite!
