Ingredients
- 2 cups shredded cooked chicken (rotisserie chicken works great)
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (adjust to your spice preference)
- 1/4 cup ranch dressing
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
- 12 slider buns
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese (optional)
- 1/2 cup sliced green onions
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
If you’re looking to switch things up, try swapping the buffalo sauce for a milder barbecue sauce and replace the blue cheese with cheddar for a different flavor profile. And if you’re like me, always experimenting, feel free to add some pickled jalapeños for an extra kick!
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, melted butter, and ranch dressing. Stir until the chicken is evenly coated.
- Place the bottom halves of the slider buns on the prepared baking sheet. Distribute the buffalo chicken mixture evenly over the buns.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and crumbled blue cheese (if using) over the chicken mixture.
- Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese, pressing down gently.
- Brush the tops of the buns with olive oil and sprinkle with sliced green onions, salt, and pepper.
- Cover the sliders with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the tops are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy the sliders warm for the best experience!
These sliders are a breeze to prepare, and I love using rotisserie chicken to save time. It’s a little trick I picked up from my grandmother—make the most of what you have and let the flavors speak for themselves.
