Ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need to create this delicious dish:
- 1 1/2 pounds of baby potatoes, halved
- 1 pound of smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 packet of ranch seasoning mix
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
If you want to experiment a bit, try swapping the cheddar with Monterey Jack or adding some chopped bell peppers for extra color and flavor.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). While the oven warms up, prepare a large baking dish by lightly greasing it with some olive oil.
- In a large bowl, combine the halved potatoes, sliced sausage, melted butter, and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the ranch seasoning mix to the bowl, ensuring all the ingredients are well coated.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.
- Remove the dish from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Top with sour cream and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
The aroma of cheese and sausage wafting through the kitchen will remind you of those homemade meals filled with love and laughter.
