Learn how to make delicious Chopped Italian Sliders. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Here’s what you’ll need to create these mouthwatering sliders:

  • 12 slider buns
  • 1/2 pound sliced salami
  • 1/2 pound sliced ham
  • 1/2 pound sliced provolone cheese
  • 1 cup chopped lettuce
  • 1/2 cup sliced roasted red peppers
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup sliced banana peppers
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

You can easily substitute the meats and cheeses with your favorites or whatever you have on hand. For example, turkey or chicken slices work just as well, and mozzarella can replace provolone for a milder taste.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves on the baking sheet.
  3. Layer the sliced salami, ham, and provolone cheese evenly across the buns.
  4. Top with chopped lettuce, roasted red peppers, black olives, and banana peppers.
  5. Drizzle the Italian dressing over the layered ingredients generously.
  6. Place the top halves of the buns back on the sliders.
  7. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Brush this mixture over the tops of the buns.
  8. Cover the sliders with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. This will allow the flavors to meld and the cheese to melt perfectly.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to toast the tops of the buns until golden brown.
  10. Once done, let the sliders cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

I’ve found that letting the sliders sit for a couple of minutes before serving helps all the flavors settle beautifully, making each bite even more satisfying.
