Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup diced jalapeños (fresh or pickled, depending on your heat preference)
- 1/4 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Feel free to swap out the bacon for turkey bacon or omit it entirely for a vegetarian version. The jalapeños can be adjusted based on your desired spice level, making it adaptable to any palate.
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Use a hand mixer to blend until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add in the shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, diced jalapeños, crumbled bacon, lime juice, chili powder, and garlic powder. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed. Adjust the lime juice and jalapeños to suit your flavor preferences.
- Transfer the spread to a serving dish and cover with plastic wrap. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Before serving, give it a quick stir and garnish with extra green onions or jalapeños if desired.
