Ingredients
1 pound ground beef (preferably 80/20 for juiciness)
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons ranch seasoning mix
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 burger buns
Lettuce leaves, for serving
Sliced tomatoes, for serving
Sliced red onions, for serving
Pickles, for serving
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, mayonnaise, ranch seasoning mix, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese, ensuring it’s evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
Shape the mixture into four equal-sized patties, making a small indentation in the center of each to help them cook evenly.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If cooking indoors, you can use a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
Season each patty with salt and pepper just before placing them on the grill or skillet.
Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. I like mine medium-rare, with a hint of pink in the center.
While the burgers are cooking, toast the buns until golden brown.
Assemble the burgers by layering lettuce, tomato, red onion, and pickles on the bottom bun. Place the cooked patty on top, then add the top bun.
Serve immediately, allowing everyone to customize with their favorite condiments.
