Total Time:45 minutes
Yield:4 servings
Ingredients
12 ounces linguine
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for a bit of heat)
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large bowl, toss the chicken pieces with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
Stir in the heavy cream, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer. Allow it to thicken slightly, about 3-4 minutes.
Reduce the heat to low and stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
Add the cooked chicken and linguine back into the skillet, tossing to coat everything evenly in the creamy sauce.
Finish with a squeeze of lemon juice and a generous sprinkle of fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
