Ingredients
- 4 large ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups water, divided
- 4 black tea bags
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-5 lemons)
- 2 cups cold water
- Ice cubes, for serving
- Mint leaves, for garnish (optional)
If fresh peaches aren’t available, you can substitute with frozen peaches, just ensure they are thawed before using. For a lower sugar option, try using honey or agave syrup instead of granulated sugar.
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the sliced peaches, sugar, and 2 cups of water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the peaches are soft, about 10 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool slightly. Transfer the mixture to a blender and puree until smooth. Strain the peach puree through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl to remove the solids. Set aside.
- In a separate pot, bring the remaining 2 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add the tea bags, allowing them to steep for 5 minutes. Discard the tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature.
- In a large pitcher, combine the peach puree, cooled tea, lemon juice, and 2 cups of cold water. Stir well to combine.
- Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to chill and let the flavors meld.
- Before serving, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the Fresh Peach Iced Tea Lemonade over the top. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired. Enjoy!
