Learn how to make delicious Garlic Butter Lobster Tails. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 lobster tails
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Feel free to substitute the fresh parsley with thyme or dill for a different herbal note, and adjust the garlic to your taste preference. In our house, garlic is a staple, a nod to my Mexican heritage where bold flavors always take center stage.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Using kitchen shears, carefully cut through the top of the lobster tail shell lengthwise to expose the meat. Gently pull the meat above the shell, while keeping it attached at the base.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to create the garlic butter mixture.
  4. Brush the garlic butter generously over the lobster meat, ensuring each tail is well coated.
  5. Place the lobster tails on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and just cooked through.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges for squeezing over the top.

The aroma of garlic and butter wafting through the kitchen as these tails bake will transport you to a coastal dinner, much like the ones I’ve enjoyed with my husband Marco during our travels. Cooking these is like a love letter to all those little moments shared over a meal.
