Learn how to make delicious Garlic Mushroom Cauliflower Skillet recipe. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

The ingredients for this recipe are as straightforward as they come, allowing you to focus on the cooking process and enjoy the incredible flavors.

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 head of cauliflower, cut into small florets
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup vegetable broth or water
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

If you’re out of smoked paprika, regular paprika can work, though it won’t have that smoky depth. You can also swap cremini mushrooms for button mushrooms if needed.

Instructions

Cooking is a dance of flavors, a lesson my grandmother taught me early on. Follow these steps to create a dish that’s sure to impress!

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for about 3 minutes until translucent.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional 1 minute, until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic, as it can turn bitter.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they release their moisture and start to brown.
  4. Stir in the cauliflower florets, smoked paprika, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Toss everything well to ensure even seasoning.
  5. Pour in the vegetable broth, cover the skillet, and let everything simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the cauliflower is tender but still has a slight bite.
  6. Remove the lid and let any remaining liquid evaporate. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving and enjoy!
