Ingredients
- 1 box of yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 large eggs
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (optional for topping)

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

- Press the dough evenly into the bottom of your prepared baking dish to form the crust.

- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
- Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the top of the cream cheese layer. If you like a sweeter cake, sprinkle the optional granulated sugar over the pecans for added crunch.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set but still slightly gooey.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving. This will help the layers set and make it easier to cut.
