Learn how to make delicious Greek Turkey Meatballs with Feta Sauce. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, parsley, mint, garlic, oregano, cumin, salt, pepper, and egg. Mix until just combined — don’t overwork the meat, as it can become tough.
  3. Using a tablespoon or small ice cream scoop, form the mixture into meatballs about 1 1/2 inches in diameter and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Drizzle the meatballs with olive oil and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. An internal temperature of 165°F indicates they are done.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the feta sauce by blending the feta cheese, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and olive oil in a food processor until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Once the meatballs are done, let them cool for a few minutes, then serve warm with the feta sauce drizzled over the top or on the side for dipping.
