Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Feel free to substitute the feta for goat cheese if you prefer a softer texture. If you’re not a fan of spicy food, you can reduce the amount of hot sauce or use a milder version.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This temperature ensures the chicken cooks evenly and the honey caramelizes beautifully.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, hot sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. This mixture will be your glaze.
- Place the chicken thighs in a baking dish and pour the honey mixture over them, turning to coat each piece thoroughly. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). The chicken should be golden and slightly sticky from the honey glaze.
- Once cooked, remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with crumbled feta cheese, allowing it to slightly melt over the warm chicken.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zing of freshness.
