Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound asparagus, trimmed
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges for serving
Feel free to substitute the asparagus with your favorite seasonal veggies or whatever you have on hand. Broccoli or green beans would work beautifully here.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix together the honey, hot sauce, soy sauce, and half of the minced garlic. Set aside.
- Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin side down. Brush the hot honey mixture generously over each fillet.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the remaining garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the asparagus and red bell pepper to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, and sauté until the veggies are tender-crisp, about 5-7 minutes.
- Once the veggies are cooked, transfer them to the baking sheet around the salmon fillets.
- Dot the remaining butter over the veggies and salmon. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Serve the salmon and veggies with lemon wedges on the side for a fresh burst of flavor.
