Learn how to make delicious Korean BBQ Meatballs with Spicy Mayo Dip. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Feel free to substitute ground turkey for a lighter option. You can also swap sriracha with your preferred hot sauce for a different heat level. These ingredients come together to create a dish that’s both comforting and exciting.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, green onions, and sesame seeds. Mix until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and golden brown.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the spicy mayo dip by mixing mayonnaise and sriracha in a small bowl. Adjust the heat by adding more or less sriracha as desired.
  6. Once the meatballs are done, serve them hot with the spicy mayo dip on the side.

These meatballs remind me of the times my grandmother would let me taste-test right from the oven. The aroma will fill your kitchen, making it hard to resist a sneak preview!
