Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Feel free to substitute ground turkey for a lighter option. You can also swap sriracha with your preferred hot sauce for a different heat level. These ingredients come together to create a dish that’s both comforting and exciting.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, green onions, and sesame seeds. Mix until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and golden brown.
- While the meatballs are baking, prepare the spicy mayo dip by mixing mayonnaise and sriracha in a small bowl. Adjust the heat by adding more or less sriracha as desired.
- Once the meatballs are done, serve them hot with the spicy mayo dip on the side.
These meatballs remind me of the times my grandmother would let me taste-test right from the oven. The aroma will fill your kitchen, making it hard to resist a sneak preview!
