- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 4 large eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Instructions
Channel your inner chef and follow these steps to create a dessert that will surely become a family favorite.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press this mixture into the bottom of your prepared dish to create a crust.
- Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then let it cool completely.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in 1/2 cup of the heavy cream and vanilla extract.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
- In another bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, corn syrup, eggs, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg. Stir in the chopped pecans.
- Pour the pecan mixture over the cream cheese layer.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the pecan layer is set and slightly puffed.
- Cool completely before slicing into squares. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce if desired.
