Learn how to make delicious Salmon Rice Bowl. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice (or your preferred variety)
  • 2 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 cup steamed broccoli
  • 1/2 cup sliced cucumber
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, chopped

If you’re feeling adventurous, try swapping jasmine rice for brown rice or quinoa for a different texture. And don’t worry if you don’t have broccoli on hand—any vegetable, like bell peppers or snap peas, will work wonderfully here.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the salmon fillets on the baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, and lime juice. Brush this mixture over the salmon fillets.
  4. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  5. While the salmon is baking, prepare the rice and vegetables. Arrange the cooked rice in bowls and top with steamed broccoli, sliced cucumber, and avocado.
  6. Once the salmon is cooked, place it on top of the rice and vegetables. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy the harmonious blend of flavors that remind me of my childhood dinners, where simplicity and taste go hand in hand.

As you prepare this dish, remember that cooking is about feeling and experimenting. Don’t be afraid to adjust the flavors to suit your palate.
