Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pizza dough (or homemade, if you’re feeling adventurous)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional for a bit of heat)
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up as well.
  2. In a small skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until golden, about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together the ricotta, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, sautéed garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Roll out your pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer it to a baking sheet or preheated pizza stone.
  5. Spread the ricotta mixture evenly over the dough, leaving about an inch around the edges for the crust.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the top, followed by the oregano and crushed red pepper flakes if using.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing and serving.
