Learn how to make delicious Baked Brie Cranberry Crostini. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 French baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 8 ounces of brie cheese, rind removed
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional for added sweetness)
  • Fresh thyme leaves, for garnish
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Feel free to substitute the cranberry sauce with fig jam or apricot preserves for a different twist. And if you’re feeling adventurous, a sprinkle of crushed walnuts can add an extra layer of texture.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush them lightly with olive oil. Sprinkle a little salt and pepper for added flavor.
  2. Toast the baguette slices in the oven for about 10 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
  3. While the crostini are toasting, slice the brie into small, even pieces that will fit on top of the baguette slices.
  4. Once the crostini are ready, remove them from the oven and immediately place a piece of brie on each slice. Return to the oven for 3-5 minutes, or until the brie is melted and bubbly.
  5. Remove from the oven and top each slice with a generous spoonful of cranberry sauce. Drizzle with honey if desired.
  6. Garnish with fresh thyme leaves to add a pop of color and a hint of earthy flavor.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy the beautiful combination of flavors.

Remember, cooking is an art, not a science. Feel free to adjust the quantities based on your taste preferences. Like my abuela always said, trust your senses!
