Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (optional)
- Lemon slices, for garnish
Feel free to substitute maple syrup for honey if you prefer a different kind of sweetness. And if dill isn’t your thing, fresh parsley or cilantro can add a refreshing twist.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy clean-up.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, honey, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a flavorful marinade.
- Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down, and brush generously with the marinade.
- Allow the salmon to marinate for about 10-15 minutes. In the meantime, reminisce about the scents of your childhood kitchen, where every meal was a labor of love.
- Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork. The time may vary slightly based on the thickness of the fillets.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Sprinkle with fresh dill and garnish with lemon slices for an extra burst of flavor.
