Total Time:45 minutes
Yield:4 servings
Ingredients
8 small flour tortillas
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
4 bananas, sliced
3 cups vanilla ice cream (or your favorite flavor)
1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
1/2 cup pineapple chunks
1/4 cup chopped nuts (such as almonds or walnuts)
1/2 cup hot fudge sauce
1/4 cup whipped cream
Maraschino cherries, for topping
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Brush both sides of the flour tortillas with melted butter. Cut each tortilla into eighths to create chip-sized pieces.
In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture generously over the buttered tortilla pieces.
Arrange the tortilla pieces in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown. Keep an eye on them, as they can brown quickly!
While the nachos are baking, slice your bananas and strawberries. Set them aside.
Once the tortilla chips are ready, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
On a large serving platter, arrange the tortilla chips. Top them with scoops of ice cream, sliced bananas, strawberries, and pineapple chunks.
Drizzle the hot fudge sauce over the nachos, then sprinkle with chopped nuts.
Add a dollop of whipped cream and finish with maraschino cherries on top.
Serve immediately, and enjoy the smiles around the table!
