Total Time:45 minutes
Yield:4 servings
Ingredients
2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil
12 ounces fettuccine pasta
1 tablespoon butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)
Instructions
Begin by seasoning the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, ensuring they are well coated.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and set aside to rest.
While the chicken is cooking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In the same skillet used for the chicken, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream, stirring gently to combine with the garlic. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Gradually add the Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Slice the cooked chicken breasts and add them to the sauce, along with the cooked fettuccine. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and lemon wedges if desired. Enjoy the creamy, spicy goodness!
