Total Time:45 minutes
Yield:4 servings
Ingredients
1 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
8 ounces of fettuccine or your pasta of choice
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup of heavy cream
1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
Start by cooking the pasta according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and sprinkle with the Cajun seasoning. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the shrimp are pink and cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic, as it can turn bitter.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, allowing it to melt and thicken the sauce.
Return the shrimp to the skillet, along with the cooked pasta. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce. Add the lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Transfer the pasta to serving bowls and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
