Learn how to make delicious Cheesesteak-Stuffed Garlic Bread Loaf. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.
Total Time:45 minutes
Yield:4 servings
Ingredients
1 large loaf of crusty French bread
1 pound of thinly sliced ribeye steak
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
2 cups shredded provolone cheese
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté the onions and bell peppers until they’re soft, about 5 minutes. Remove them from the pan and set aside.
In the same skillet, increase the heat to high and sear the ribeye slices quickly, just until browned. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.
Cut the top off the loaf of bread, hollow out the inside to create a cavity for the filling.
In a small saucepan, melt the butter and add the minced garlic and Italian seasoning. Brush the inside of the bread with this garlic butter mixture.
Layer the sautéed onions, peppers, ribeye slices, and shredded provolone inside the bread cavity.
Replace the top of the bread loaf and wrap the entire loaf in aluminum foil.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, then unwrap and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and the edges are golden.
Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
