  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Feel free to substitute the granulated sugar with honey or maple syrup for a different sweetness profile, and if you prefer a gluten-free version, simply swap the flour with almond or oat flour.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until evenly coated.
  3. Transfer the apple mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading it in an even layer.
