Learn how to make delicious Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Gathering your ingredients is the first step to ensuring a smooth cooking process. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • Additional butter or oil for cooking
  • Optional: Cream cheese icing for drizzling

If you’re out of brown sugar, white sugar with a bit of molasses can work as a substitute. For a dairy-free version, almond milk and a plant-based butter substitute can be used.

Instructions

Let’s dive into creating these beauties, step by step:

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter until well combined.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon to make the cinnamon filling.
  5. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a bit of butter or oil.
  6. Pour about 1/4 cup of the pancake batter onto the skillet. As it begins to cook, swirl a spoonful of the cinnamon mixture onto the pancake in a spiral pattern.
  7. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip carefully and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  8. Repeat with the remaining batter and cinnamon mixture.

From my experience, using a squeeze bottle for the cinnamon mixture can help create a neater swirl.
