Learn how to make delicious Cookies and Cream Cookies. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed cream-filled cookies (such as Oreos)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Feel free to substitute the white chocolate chips with dark chocolate if you prefer a richer flavor. And if you’re like me, always experimenting, try adding a pinch of cinnamon for an unexpected twist!

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Beat until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and beat until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Gently fold in the crushed cream-filled cookies and white chocolate chips (if using) until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set. Remember, the cookies will continue to cook on the baking sheet after you remove them from the oven.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

As these cookies bake, the kitchen fills with a comforting aroma that always transports me back to those lively family kitchens. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love cooking so much.
