Ingredients
- 8 ounces of your favorite noodles (spaghetti, linguine, or rice noodles work well)
- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for a bit of heat)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
- Lemon wedges, for serving
You can substitute flank steak with sirloin or another tender cut if preferred. For a vegetarian version, consider using mushrooms or tofu in place of the steak.
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced flank steak, seasoned with salt and pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Stir in the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and red pepper flakes, mixing well.
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing them in the garlic butter sauce until fully coated.
- Return the steak to the skillet, combining it with the noodles and sauce. Toss everything together until the steak is reheated and well mixed with the noodles.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges. Enjoy!
Remember, cooking is about using your senses. Just like my grandmother taught me, let your nose guide you with the garlic, and your eyes judge the perfect sear on the steak.
