Learn how to make delicious Honey Garlic Butter Shrimp Noodles. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces of spaghetti or noodles of choice
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Feel free to substitute the spaghetti with rice noodles or even zucchini noodles if you’re looking for a lighter option. If parsley isn’t your favorite, cilantro or green onions can also add a fresh touch.

Instructions

  1. Start by cooking the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter, honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
  5. Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Allow it to cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  6. Finally, add the cooked noodles to the skillet and gently toss everything together until the noodles are well coated in the sauce.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Remember, cooking is as much about intuition as it is about following steps. If you feel the sauce needs a bit more lemon or spice, trust your instincts — just like my grandmother taught me.
