Ingredients
- 1 pound thinly sliced beef sirloin
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 batch homemade keto dough (recipe below)
Feel free to substitute the beef with chicken or mushrooms for a different twist. And if you’re like me, with a penchant for spice, a dash of chili flakes will do wonders!
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the beef slices and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the bell pepper and onion. Sauté until the vegetables are soft and slightly caramelized, about 4-5 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine mozzarella cheese, cream cheese, heavy cream, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and smoked paprika. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Roll out the homemade keto dough to form a rectangle about 1/4-inch thick. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
- Layer the cooked beef, bell pepper, and onion over the cheese mixture.
- Carefully roll up the dough, starting from the long side, into a tight log. Place the log seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Allow the roll to cool for a few minutes before slicing into rounds. Serve warm and enjoy!
