Learn how to make delicious Lemon Garlic Butter Steak with Broccoli. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Here’s everything you need to bring this delicious meal to life:

  • 1 pound flank steak, sliced thinly
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

If you’re out of flank steak, feel free to substitute with skirt steak or even sirloin. And if lemon isn’t your thing, a splash of white wine can add a different kind of zing.

Instructions

Follow these steps to create a dish that’s sure to become a family favorite:

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced steak, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the butter to the skillet and let it melt, then stir in the lemon zest and juice.
  4. Add the broccoli florets to the skillet, tossing them in the lemon garlic butter. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes until the broccoli is tender yet crisp.
  5. Return the steak to the skillet, sprinkle with red pepper flakes if using, and toss everything together to coat with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to warm through.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
