Ingredients
- 4 tilapia fillets
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Lemon slices, for garnish
If you’re out of fresh dill, don’t fret! You can substitute with fresh thyme or even a pinch of dried dill for a similar aromatic touch.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, lemon juice, parsley, dill, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
- Place the tilapia fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Using a brush or spoon, generously coat each fillet with the lemon herb butter mixture.
- Bake the tilapia in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. If you like a slightly crispier edge, switch the oven to broil for the last 2 minutes of cooking.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for a minute. Garnish with lemon slices and additional parsley before serving.
