Learn how to make delicious Lobster Rolls. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

To create these delicious lobster rolls, you’ll need a few key ingredients. As always, I recommend sourcing the freshest lobster you can find to make these rolls truly shine. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 pound cooked lobster meat, chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon minced chives
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped celery
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 split-top hot dog buns
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • Lettuce leaves (optional)

If you prefer a lighter option, Greek yogurt can be substituted for mayonnaise. And for an extra kick, consider adding a pinch of cayenne pepper.

Instructions

Follow these simple steps to bring a taste of coastal cuisine to your table:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped lobster meat, mayonnaise, lemon juice, chives, celery, and Dijon mustard. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir gently until all ingredients are well combined.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Brush the outside of each hot dog bun with melted butter.
  3. Place the buns in the skillet, buttered side down, and toast until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Remove the buns from the skillet and let them cool slightly. If desired, line each bun with a lettuce leaf for added crunch.
  5. Generously fill each bun with the lobster mixture, making sure each roll is packed with flavor.
  6. Serve immediately, ideally with a view of the ocean or, in my case, a cozy spot on the porch with Biscuit by my side.
