Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 ounces medium pasta shells
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For a twist, you can substitute ground turkey for beef or use a mix of cheeses like mozzarella and parmesan for a different flavor profile.
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 5-6 minutes.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot. Cook until the onion becomes translucent, stirring occasionally.
- Pour in the beef broth and marinara sauce, then stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Add the pasta shells, stirring well to ensure they are submerged in the liquid. Cover and let them cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream and shredded cheddar cheese until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy the creamy goodness with your loved ones!
