Learn how to make delicious Prosciutto and Honey Brie Baguette Sandwich. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 fresh baguette (about 12 inches long)
  • 4 ounces of thinly sliced prosciutto
  • 6 ounces of brie cheese, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of whole grain mustard (optional, for a bit of tanginess)
  • 2 tablespoons of arugula or fresh spinach

Feel free to use whole grain or gluten-free baguette if you prefer, and substitute honey with agave syrup for a vegan option.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. This will help melt the brie slightly, blending the flavors beautifully.
  2. Slice the baguette in half lengthwise. I always love the crackle of a fresh baguette being sliced open, the promise of good things to come.
  3. Spread a thin layer of whole grain mustard on the bottom half of the baguette if you’re using it. It adds an unexpected tang that cuts through the richness.
  4. Layer the slices of brie cheese evenly across the bottom half of the baguette. You’ll want the cheese to be at room temperature for easy slicing and maximum flavor.
  5. Arrange the prosciutto slices over the brie. In my experience, folding the slices over themselves creates a delightful texture when you bite into the sandwich.
  6. Drizzle the honey over the prosciutto, ensuring each bite will have a hint of sweetness.
  7. Place a handful of arugula or spinach on top of the honey-drizzled prosciutto for freshness and a peppery crunch.
  8. Close the sandwich with the top half of the baguette and place it on a baking sheet.
  9. Warm the sandwich in the oven for about 5 minutes, just enough to soften the brie and warm the bread. Keep an eye on it to prevent over-toasting.
  10. Remove from the oven, slice into manageable sections, and serve immediately.
