Learn how to make delicious Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Bacon. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds of fresh Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 4 slices of thick-cut bacon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

If you’re looking to switch things up, you can try substituting the bacon with turkey bacon for a leaner option, or add a handful of chopped nuts for extra crunch.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
  3. Arrange the sprouts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Scatter the bacon pieces evenly over the top.
  4. Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the Brussels sprouts are golden brown and the bacon is crispy.
  5. Remove from the oven and drizzle with balsamic vinegar, tossing to combine. If desired, sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top before serving.

From my experience, the key to perfecting this dish is not overcrowding the baking sheet. Give each sprout room to roast rather than steam, which results in that beautiful caramelization.
