Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon slices for garnish (optional)
Feel free to substitute the dried herbs with fresh ones if available, or mix and match with your favorite herbs. If you prefer a bit of heat, a pinch of red pepper flakes can add a delightful kick!
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
- Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down. Brush the garlic herb mixture generously over each fillet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with lemon slices if desired, and serve warm.
A tip from my kitchen: keep an eye on the salmon during the last few minutes of cooking to prevent overcooking, ensuring it stays juicy and tender.
