Learn how to make delicious Snickerdoodle Bundt Cake. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Cinnamon sugar for dusting (1/4 cup sugar mixed with 1 tablespoon cinnamon)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a bundt pan generously with butter and dust with flour to prevent sticking.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes. This step is crucial for a light texture.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the sour cream and milk. Begin and end with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan, spreading it evenly. Tap the pan gently on the counter to remove air bubbles.
  7. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the top of the batter before baking. This creates a lovely crust as the cake bakes.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
