Learn how to make delicious Steak Bites Dinner. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon butter

If you don’t have sirloin, you can substitute with ribeye for a richer flavor or flank steak for a leaner option. The paprika adds a nice smoky depth, but feel free to swap it with chili powder for a kick of heat.

Instructions

  1. Start by patting the steak pieces dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear. Season them with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add half of the steak bites, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
  3. Remove the cooked steak bites and set them aside. Add the remaining olive oil and repeat with the second batch of steak bites.
  4. Once all the steak bites are cooked, lower the heat to medium and add the butter to the skillet. When the butter has melted, add the minced garlic, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
  5. Return all the steak bites to the skillet and toss to coat with the garlic butter. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through.
  6. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving for a pop of color and freshness.

Cooking steak can be intimidating, but remember, it’s all about heat and timing. Listen for that satisfying sizzle when the steak hits the pan, a sound that always transports me back to my grandmother’s kitchen, where the aroma of sizzling meat meant something delicious was on the way.
