Learn how to make delicious Steak with Creamy Garlic Sauce. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.
Total Time:45 minutes
Yield:4 servings
Ingredients
2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Start by patting the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels. This helps them sear beautifully in the pan. Season both sides generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust the time according to your preferred doneness. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate, covered with foil.
Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.
Pour in the beef broth, stirring to deglaze the pan and incorporate any delicious browned bits left from the steaks. Let it simmer for about 2 minutes.
Stir in the heavy cream and Dijon mustard, whisking to combine. Allow the sauce to simmer for another 3-4 minutes, until it begins to thicken slightly.
Lower the heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese, letting it melt into the sauce. Stir occasionally to ensure a smooth, creamy consistency. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Return the steaks to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them, and let them heat through for another minute.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving, if desired. Enjoy your meal with a side of your choice!
