Learn how to make delicious Sticky BBQ Pork Ribs. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds pork ribs
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (optional, for a spicy kick)

If you’re looking to switch things up, try substituting chicken for pork or using a sweet and spicy BBQ sauce for a different flavor profile. The beauty of cooking is in the creativity, so feel free to adapt this recipe to your tastes!

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). While the oven heats, prepare the ribs by removing the membrane from the back for a more tender bite.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground cumin, salt, and pepper. Rub this spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring an even coating.
  3. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, bone side down. Cover the ribs with another piece of foil to keep them moist during baking.
  4. Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily pulls away from the bone.
  5. While the ribs are baking, prepare the BBQ sauce glaze. In a saucepan, combine the barbecue sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens slightly, about 10 minutes.
  6. Once the ribs are done baking, remove them from the oven and increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C).
  7. Brush the prepared BBQ glaze generously over the ribs. Return them to the oven and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, until the glaze is sticky and caramelized.
  8. Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy the delectable flavors!

One tip from my kitchen to yours: patience is key. Letting the ribs bake slowly ensures they are juicy and tender, making all the difference in the final dish.
